Execution and Aftermath
The conspirators faced trial in January 1606. Eight men were convicted of high treason: Guy Fawkes, Robert Winter, Thomas Winter, Thomas Bates, Christopher Wright, John Wright, Henry Keyes, and Robert Keyes. On 31 January 1606, they were hanged, drawn, and quartered at Old Palace Yard, Westminster.
