Isaac Newton (1643–1727) was an English mathematician, physicist, astronomer, theologian, and author widely recognized as one of the most influential scientists of all time. He was born prematurely at Woolsthorpe Manor in Lincolnshire, reportedly small enough to fit into a quart mug [1] [ /entries/quart-mug ].
